Tax Accountant

Outskirts of Stevenage (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Salary up to £60,000 per annum


We’re working with a well-established and growing business looking to bring in a Tax Accountant to strengthen their finance function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad tax remit, partnering with the wider business, and playing a key role in ensuring compliance while adding commercial value.
Reporting into the Head of Tax, you’ll be a key point of contact for all tax-related matters across multiple entities.

This is a varied position combining compliance, reporting, and business partnering.
You will:
*Prepare and review corporate tax computations and returns across multiple entities
*Support quarterly tax reporting, including forecasts and budgeting inputs
*Assist with statutory reporting, including IFRS-related tax disclosures
*Analyse tax data and provide insights to support decision-making
*Work closely with the wider finance team and non-finance stakeholders
*Support VAT and indirect tax processes, including property-related VAT where applicable
*Liaise with HMRC and external advisors
*Contribute to ongoing improvements in tax processes and controls
*Support and mentor junior team members
*Get involved in ad hoc projects across the group
About You

We’re looking for someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware.
You’ll ideally have:
*A recognised qualification (ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)
*Solid experience in corporate tax and compliance
*Exposure to VAT and broader tax matters
*Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
*Confidence working with financial systems (e.g. Alphatax or similar – beneficial but not essential)
*Advanced Excel capability
*The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
*A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
