Drama Teacher – 1 Year Maternity Cover (July 2026 – July 2027)
We are seeking a passionate Drama Teacher to join an Ofsted rated ’good’ secondary school for a 1-year maternity cover role. The successful candidate will be a skilled Drama Teacher with a strong commitment to inspiring creativity and confidence in students. This Drama Teacher position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our drama curriculum from July 2026 until July 2027. If you are an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher looking for a rewarding temporary role, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons (KS3-4) that meet the curriculum requirements and cater to different learning styles.
*Inspire and motivate students to develop their acting, improvisation, and stagecraft skills.
*Organise and direct school productions, performances, and drama workshops.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
*Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama across other subjects and school activities.
*Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
*Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and contribute to the wider school community.
