Audit Manager – Leatherhead, Surrey | Partner-Facing Role
£65,000 - £75,000 + Progression | Hybrid Working | Accountancy Practice
Audit Managers looking to take full ownership of assignments and work closely with Partners will find this a varied and rewarding Audit Manager opportunity within a well-established accountancy practice based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

The Audit Manager Role
As an Audit Manager, you will take responsibility for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and ready for Partner sign-off. You will play a central role in coordinating the audit process, supervising the team and maintaining strong client relationships throughout each engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Reviewing audit files and financial statements ahead of Partner review
* Managing and supervising audit teams on assignments
* Ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and internal procedures
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients during the audit process
* Supporting workflow planning and ensuring deadlines are met
* Identifying areas of audit risk and ensuring appropriate testing is completed
* Supporting the development of junior team members through review and feedback
The Audit team works with a high-quality client portfolio including international groups, financial services organisations and entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, offering exposure to a broad range of sectors and audit complexity.
About You
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified with experience working within an audit team in a UK accountancy practice.
Suitable candidates will typically have:
* Experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
* Experience reviewing audit work and supervising junior staff
* Confidence liaising directly with clients and senior stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
