Job Description:
A modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking to appoint an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join their growing team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their career who wants proper development, variety in their work, and a firm that genuinely invests in its people, not just ticks the "study support" box.
The Role
You’ll gain exposure across a broad range of general practice work, supporting seniors and managers while building your own technical and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies (FRS102a / FRS105)
*Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and LLPs
*Assisting with corporate, personal and partnership tax returns
*Preparing VAT returns and supporting with bookkeeping
*Assisting with management accounts (where required)
*Supporting senior team members on client work
The Ideal Candidate
*ACA / ACCA part-qualified (or actively studying)
*Experience working within an accountancy practice
*Strong IT skills (Xero, Sage, Excel etc.)
*Good communication skills and confidence dealing with clients
*Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress
Why Apply?
*Modern, growing firm with a strong reputation in the North West
*Genuine focus on development — structured training and clear progression
*Hybrid and flexible working environment
*27 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off
*Full study support and ongoing development programmes
*Enhanced family benefits and wellbeing support
*Life assurance and additional financial benefits
*Regular social events (from team socials to sports and summer events)
*Long-term career progression within a firm that promotes from within
