Job Description:
Senior Business Support Assistant
*Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour (PAYE)
*Location: Merrion House, 110 Merrion Centre, Leeds, LS1
*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (1 - 2 months)
Leeds City Council are looking for three Senior Business Support Assistants to join the Business Administration service, supporting the Special Educational Needs Statutory Assessment and Provision team (SENSAP). This team plays a crucial role in enabling children and young people with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access the right educational support and provision to achieve their life aspirations.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Work within the Synergy suite of applications which hosts all Leeds pupil level educational data.
*Communicate clearly and effectively, handling queries through our dedicated inbox.
*Ensure high levels of accuracy in tasks such as checking documents and recording numerical and alphabetical information.
*Enter approved orders for services into the appropriate financial system in a timely manner.
*Work with partners to ensure processes and systems around the processing of invoices meet the needs of the Adults and Health service areas.
*Analyse and collate data to produce reports.
*Manage own workload adhering to statutory deadlines and time scales.
*Carry out general administrative duties and move within service areas as required by service demand.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of dealing with a range of people through face-to-face, telephone, and written communication.
*Experience in using relevant applications, systems, and IT programmes for accurate recording and retrieval of information.
*Ability to work on own initiative and judge when to offer solutions from a range of options.
*Proven experience in providing excellent customer service and handling challenging situations positively.
*Understanding of legal business, financial audit, confidential and operational requirements of the service.
*Ability to work flexibly and adapt to working in different locations depending on service demand.
