About this teaching assitant role:
*Provide 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
*Apply your knowledge of psychology to adapt learning activities and behaviour strategies to suit individual pupils
*Support the class teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
*Observe, monitor, and track pupil progress, gaining valuable experience relevant to Educational Psychology pathways
*Build strong, trusting relationships to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, and academic development
What We’re Looking For in an aspiring teaching assistant:*A degree in Psychology (or a related field)
*Some experience working with children or young people (e.g. schools, tutoring, care, youth work, or voluntary roles)
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
*A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
