Job Description:
HR Business Partner
*£55,000 per annum, £28.21 hourly rate
*Temporary/Interim role
*Location: Hybrid (mainly based at Greendale Depot, EX5)
*Full-time
Reed is excited to represent a leading organisation in the public sector that is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner. This role is crucial as the organisation navigates through a period of operational growth.
Initially, the successful candidate will provide hands-on operational HR support, with the role evolving into a more strategic capacity as the organisation expands.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Deliver high-quality HR operational support across the organisation.
*Provide professional HR advice and guidance on all aspects of employee relations and HR policy.
*Regularly update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and consistency across the organisation.
*Support and coach managers in handling employee relations matters such as performance management, absences, disciplinaries, and grievances.
*Manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Lead on Health and Safety practices and support workforce integration and TUPE-related activities.
*Oversee the recruitment process from creating job descriptions to onboarding new starters, ensuring adherence to equality, diversity, and inclusion best practices.
*Foster a positive working environment that promotes employee engagement and wellbeing.
*Assess training needs and oversee the development and delivery of training programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Extensive experience as a HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Senior HR Advisor within a fast-paced environment.
*Proven experience in managing complex employee relations cases.
*CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum, Level 7 desirable) or equivalent practical HR experience.
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience advising on a broad range of employee relations cases.
*Experience in supporting organisational change and managing TUPE processes.
*Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, effectively balancing day-to-day operations with broader people initiatives.
*Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience in using HR systems to inform decision-making.
*Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and resilience.
