Head of Development Management & Major Projects needed in Bournemouth Paying £570.33 per day ref 5289910
Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities*Lead and manage the Development Management and Enforcement functions, including complex and strategic planning applications from submission through determination and delivery
*Oversee major development projects of strategic and regional importance
*Develop and maintain effective relationships with development, regeneration, and delivery partners at local, regional, and national levels
*Ensure local communities’ needs, concerns, and expectations are understood and fairly represented within the planning process
*Lead service planning, performance management, budget control, and continuous improvement activity
*Manage and report Section 106 contributions, including collection and expenditure
*Lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and review of development management policies and wider planning strategies
*Ensure effective coordination with building control and other related disciplines
*Represent the Planning Service at committees, stakeholder forums, and external working groups
*Champion social value, sustainability, and high-quality place-making
*Create a positive learning environment through delegation, mentoring, coaching, and development of staff
*Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and procedural requirements
