We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider working on a long-term public sector contract.
This is a mobile field-based role covering South London, responsible for delivering planned maintenance and reactive repairs across a high-volume of sites.
You will be working on a critical public sector contract supporting multiple sites, each with commercial kitchens, dormitories, and associated building services infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
*Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems
*Fault-find and diagnose breakdowns across gas plant and heating systems
*Work on boilers, water heaters, pipework, gas air heaters, and radiant tube heaters
*Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
*Carry out minor installation and remedial works
*Produce technical reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
*Identify and quote for remedial works and lifecycle replacements
*Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations, RAMS, and H&S standards
*Liaise with contract teams and client representatives
Candidate Requirements
Essential
*Commercial Gas qualifications (Gas Safe registered)
*Strong background in gas servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding
*Experience in building services or FM environments
*Full UK driving licence
Highly Desirable
*Experience working on public sector or critical infrastructure contracts
*Multi-skilled background (mechanical / electrical awareness)
*Experience working with high-volume PPM/reactive workloads
*Strong reporting and client-facing communication skills
