Key Responsibilities:
In this PCB Assembly Operative role, you’ll be involved in a range of practical and technical tasks:
*Carry out hand assembly and soldering of PCBs
*Complete through hole and surface mount placement by hand
*Clean and prepare PCBs to a high standard
*Perform visual inspection of solder joints
*Undertake PCB rework and modification
*Build prototypes and support the design team
What we’re looking for:
To succeed as a PCB Assembly Operative, you’ll need:
*At least 2 years’ experience in an electronics production environment
*Strong soldering skills with both leaded and lead-free materials
*Experience as a Production Operative within electronics manufacturing
*Experience preparing and assembling through hole components
*Experience as a Soldering Operative working with surface mount components (down to 0402)
*Confidence using basic hand tools such as pliers and screwdrivers
It would also be beneficial if you have:
*Experience using hot air and rework techniques
*IPC certification (current or previous)
