Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Reading.
The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support due to a variety of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You may work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping students to access learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities*Support pupils with SEN in both classroom and intervention settings
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
*Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
*Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
Requirements*Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are desirable
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
