Packaging Operative
Location: Chichester (Outskirts)
Own transport required due to location
Salary: £29,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (4-day week)
Our client has been crafting award-winning products for over 20 years, supplying premium wholesale goods known for their quality and appeal. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a dedicated Packaging Operative to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work a 4-day week while being part of a business that values consistency, quality, and teamwork.
The Role
As a Packaging Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packaged efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and maintaining productivity without compromising quality is essential.
Core Responsibilities:
Following packaging guidelines and specifications
Operating and maintaining labelling line equipment
Monitoring the packaging line and removing faulty products
Meeting daily packaging targets
Stacking, palletising, packing, and labelling products
Ensuring all packaging meets compliance, customer, and business standards
Carrying out general packaging and labouring duties
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Picking and organising orders for dispatch
Reporting issues to the supervisor promptly
Completing documentation accurately and on time
Conducting quality control checks as required
Supporting with additional tasks as needed
Requirements
To be successful:
Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Good level of physical dexterity
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Basic maths and computer skills
Positive, resilient attitude
Own transport is essential due to location
