We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new Battery Energy Storage facility in Aberdeenshire. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of site management for infrastructure projects having demonstrated a key focus on Health & Safety and adherence to CDM regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
*Review contractor HSSE documentation and confirm alignment with ERs & CDM requirements.
*Monitor site activities for compliance with approved RAMS and method statements.
*Observe safety practices and escalate non-conformances to the Project Manager and HS&E Lead.
*Witness critical activities and hold points as required.
*Check that QA/QC documentation is submitted by contractors.
*Prepare and present regular reports to the project team.
*Ensuring on site work is delivered in accordance with the programme.
*Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet required standards.
*Drive Health & Safety, quality and compliance on site.
*Coordinate site access, logistics, and temporary works with contractors.
*Act as the main point of contact between the Project Manager, Engineering team and site contractors.
*Support resolution of minor site issues and escalate major risks promptly.
*Maintain accurate site documentation including progress reports, RAMS and Health & Safety records.
*Review readiness for commissioning activities (documentation and safety checks).
*Witness equipment deliveries and energisation activities as required.
*Confirm handover documentation completeness before submission to the Project Manager.
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a site manager on infrastructure projects.
*Understanding of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
*SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are essential.
*Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.
*Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety standards.
Desirable Experience:
*Energy infrastructure projects.
*Site management of BESS sites or utility scale solar.
*Preference for Civil or Electrical Engineering background.
*NEBOSH certificate.
Contract Details:
*Day rate of £450 - £650 depending on experience
*Contract start date - August 26, Expected finish date - June 27
*Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00 - 18:00. Potential for Saturday work between 8:00 - 13:00
*Requirement to work additional hours to ensure project completion
*Commutable to site location near Rothienorman in Aberdeenshire
