Job Description:
Adele Carr Recruitment are on the lookout for a highly motivated and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join a dynamic and rapidly growing legal practice on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop specialist experience within legal accounts and client money management.
This role sits within a high-performing finance team and reports directly to the Financial Controller, offering strong exposure to regulated legal accounting processes and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a progressive and forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities
*Process high-volume daily payments, receipts, and bank transfers accurately and efficiently
*Manage and reconcile transactions across banking channels including CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments, and Next Day Faster Payments
*Ensure full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and internal audit standards
*Maintain accuracy across client and office accounts, including client-to-office transfers
*Raise, process, and post client and office billing in line with procedures
Challenges of the Role

*Managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy
*Handling high-volume transactions with strict compliance requirements
*Working to tight deadlines and responding quickly to business needs
*Balancing competing demands in a structured but busy workflow
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
*Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (essential)
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
*Understanding of banking processes (CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments) desirable
*Experience in legal finance or client money environments advantageous but not essential
