If you enjoy the broking side of the job more than the admin around it, this one should stand out.
This is for a Placement Broker who likes negotiating, structuring cover properly and finding a way through complex risks. Not just processing submissions and moving them on.
You’ll be joining a well-established insurance business with a strong wholesale function, where your market knowledge and trading ability will be properly valued.
The opportunity

*You’ll work with broker partners on the placement of medium to large commercial risks across a broad mix of sectors, using your insurer relationships and technical understanding to secure the right outcome.

*You will have the backing of an established team with strong relationships already in place.
What the role looks like
*You’ll be involved in the marketing and placement of a wide range of commercial risks, supporting broker partners and working closely with insurers to negotiate terms that work both technically and commercially.
*This is not a box-ticking role.
*It suits someone who enjoys the challenge of trading, structuring deals and adding value where a risk needs proper thought.
Key responsibilities
*Proactively market and place risks across a panel of insurers
*Build and strengthen relationships with broker partners
*Trade effectively with insurers across a broad range of commercial classes
*Place SME, commercial and mid-corporate risks
*Support colleagues with more complex or unusual cases
*Negotiate terms and help structure solutions that work for all parties
*Deliver a professional, responsive service throughout the placement process
Who this could suit
*You have a strong commercial insurance broking background
*You are experienced in placing medium to large risks in the open market
*You are a confident negotiator who deals well with insurers and stakeholders
*You are comfortable working across a varied spread of commercial business
*You know Acturis or a similar broking system
*You want a role where your technical ability and trading mindset genuinely matter
