About the RoleWe are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Taunton, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism within a residential and supported living environment.
This role involves helping individuals live fulfilling, independent lives while providing person-centred care tailored to their specific needs.


Key Responsibilities*Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
*Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, cooking, and household activities
*Support individuals in accessing the community, education, and social activities
*Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
*Follow individual care and support plans
*Manage and respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge
*Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to senior staff
Requirements*Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (essential)
*A good understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
*Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
*Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications & Skills*Care Certificate
*Oral health and dysphagia training
*Oliver Mcgowan Teir 1 and Teir 2 training
*Practical Manual handling and Practical Basic Life support training
