Grafton Banks Finance are working with a Construction/ Services company with offices in Worthing, West Sussex to recruit an Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Senior management team you will be responsible for supporting with the companies accounts, property management and general office functions.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
*Maintain and update the purchase ledger, property management account schedules, and service charge accounts.
*Prepare regular service charge, expense, VAT, and statement reports for issue to landlord clients.
*Compile service charge budgets and reconciliation documentation for review and validation
*Provide administrative support, compiling, creating, and issuing documents using all company software as required.
*Undertake periodic credit control duties in relation to outstanding rents, service charges, and cost balances, ensuring all records and schedules are kept up to date.
*Issue rent and service charge demand invoices. .
*Corresponding with landlords, tenants, and contractors as required to fulfil the duties of the role.
*Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the office including answering incoming telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate members of the team.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a finance role with at least 3 years of experience. You will need to have strong IT skills including Excel and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ideally you will have experience of a similar industry property management or construction although this is not essential.
This is a full time permanent job opportunity working in office Monday – Friday 9.00am-5:30pm. You will need to be available within 1 months’ notice. For your experience you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
