Job Description:

We’re currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a genuinely friendly, down-to-earth finance team within a growing business that’s continuing to expand. This isn’t the kind of place where you’re just a number — it’s a team that works closely together, supports each other, and yes... there’s usually a bit of cake involved too. ?? You’ll be joining at an exciting time, with plenty going on and lots of opportunity to grow alongside the business.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being part of a team and likes to get stuck in wherever needed. You’re the kind of person who doesn’t just wait for things to come to you — you’re happy to pick up the phone, walk over to someone’s desk, and help get things sorted. You take ownership of your work, but you’re also always ready to lend a hand, ask questions, and keep things moving. If you’d describe yourself as approachable, reliable, and someone people enjoy working with, you’ll feel right at home here.
What you will be doing
*Processing supplier invoices and keeping everything accurate and up to date
*Matching invoices to purchase orders and chasing anything that doesn’t quite add up
*Managing and resolving queries from across the business (sales, sites, buying teams, QS’s)
*Handling a shared inbox and responding to a variety of finance-related queries
*Supporting supplier account maintenance, statements, and general admin
*Assisting with payments and making sure everything runs to schedule
*Getting involved across the team to keep things running smoothly day-to-day
What we need from you
*Someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a team
*A proactive mindset — happy to jump in, help out, and take ownership
*Strong communication skills (both over email and face-to-face)
*Good attention to detail, even when things get busy
*A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
*Some exposure to Accounts Payable or finance (ideal, but not essential)
Benefits
*25 days holiday plus bank holidays
*Training and development opportunities (including study support)
*A genuinely supportive, welcoming team environment
*Real opportunities to grow as the business continues to expand
Interested?
If you’re looking for a role where you can be part of a great team, enjoy your day-to-day, and build a long-term career — we’d love to hear from you. Apply today with your CV.
