The Role
As a senior member of the Finance team, you will lead financial reporting, oversee the full budget cycle, and ensure strong financial control across both capital and revenue activities—including a significant development programme.
You will manage a small team and act as a trusted Finance Business Partner, supporting and challenging stakeholders to ensure the organisation remains financially strong.
Key Responsibilities
*Act as the Lead Finance Business Partner to budget holders
*Deliver high-quality financial information to senior management
*Lead the budget-setting process and ongoing performance reporting
*Support managers in business case development
*Oversee accounting for capital expenditure
*Lead the year-end process and manage external audit
*Prepare statutory financial accounts
*Manage and develop a team of four finance staff
About You
You’re ready to step up, lead, and grow into a future Head of Finance role.
Essential Requirements
*Qualified CCAB or CIMA Accountant
*At least 2 years’ experience leading financial and management accounts
*Proven experience managing and developing staff
*Strong experience producing statutory accounts from trial balance
*Hands-on, proactive approach
*Ability to obtain a basic DBS check
Desirable Skills
*Experience within the housing sector
*Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
*Knowledge of VAT and partial exemption
*Experience developing staff towards professional qualifications
