Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSEQ Compliance Manager to oversee health, safety, environment, and quality standards across our organisation that sits in the industrial sector.
This role is integral to ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal policies, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to risk management.
This is a full-time permanent position, 100% office based. Most of your time will be based in the Southampton office, but you will be expected to travel to other sites across England, using your own vehicle, any overnight accommodation will be paid for by the company.
Suitable for individuals committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality within our operations.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40-hours per week, Start 08:00, Finish 17:00. No Weekend or Bank Holidays worked.
Basic Annual Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience).
Responsibilities:
*Lead and develop the Integrated Management System.
*Ensure compliance with ISO , and 27001.
*Manage risk, compliance, and facilities across multiple sites.
*Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements and industry best practices.
*Conduct regular audits, and inspections to monitor compliance levels across all departments and sites.
*Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence across all sites.
*Prepare detailed reports on HSEQ performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for senior management review.
*Facilitate training sessions on health, safety, environmental protocols, and emergency response procedures.
*Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including first aid arrangements and drills.
*Ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities related to HSEQ standards through effective communication and training programmes.
*Stay updated on relevant legislation, industry trends, and technological advancements affecting HSEQ practices.
Qualifications:
*NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is essential (and NEBOSH General Certificate).
*Significant experience in a senior HSEQ / Compliance standalone role.
*Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes.
*Experience in multi-site or industrial environments.
*Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Other Essential Requirements:
*Live in Hampshire and able to work a 100% office-based role in Southampton.
*Full driving license and car (DVLA check will be required).
*Eligible to work a full-time permanent job without restrictions or visa sponsorship.
*Must be able complete 2 face-to-face interviews at Southampton site.
*Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written).
*Full employment checks will be required prior to interview (including right to work, home address, and DVLA checks).
