Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:45pm (Fridays finish at 1:00pm)
Start Date: September 2026
Location: North Westminster, London
A well-regarded preparatory school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children in Key Stage 1 and is keen to work in a school with strong values and a close-knit community.

Year 2 is an important stage in pupils’ development, and you will play a key role in supporting their learning, confidence, and progress through KS1.
The RoleYou will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils’ learning across the curriculum, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. The role includes assisting with classroom activities, supporting literacy and numeracy, and helping to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Working Hours*Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
*Friday: 8:30am - 1:00pm (early finish in line with the Jewish calendar)

*Proactive and reliable - willing to take initiative and support across the classroom
*Strong communicator - able to work effectively with staff and pupils
*Respectful of a faith-based environment and the school’s Jewish ethos
Requirements*Experience working with primary-aged children (ideally Key Stage 1)
*A positive, patient, and professional attitude
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*Availability to work full-time during term time
