Are you a resilient and proactive individual with a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school in Stretford, seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require additional support to manage their emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning. The school prides itself on creating a structured and nurturing environment, helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
The Role:
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
*Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour effectively
*Building positive relationships to support trust and engagement
*Implementing behaviour support strategies and interventions
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
*A calm, patient, and consistent approach
*Strong behaviour management skills
*The ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
