Secondary SEN Teacher - SEN SchoolLocation: SEN Secondary School
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, until the end of the academic year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Pay: Competitive - dependent on experience, qualifications, and pay type
Prospero Teaching is working closely with a specialist SEN secondary school to recruit a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is motivated to support pupils with complex needs in a structured, supportive environment.
The Role:*Teaching and supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and additional needs
*Planning, delivering, and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
*Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
*Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
*Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP targets
*Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
*Managing behaviour using trauma-informed and positive behaviour strategies
The Ideal Candidate:*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience teaching students with SEN (mainstream or specialist setting)
*Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
*Calm, patient, and resilient approach
*A genuine passion for SEN education and inclusive practice
*Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
*Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the child workforce
