Full job descriptionWe are working with an award-winning block management company, who are looking to hire an experienced Estate Manager to lead a state-of-the-art residential scheme in Watford. This role will play a key part in mobilising the scheme, you will be working alongside one of the UK’s leading developers.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08.30am to 17.00pm
Salary: £70,000 per annum
Duties:
*Manage and support the on-site team.
*Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, including contractor relationships.
*Ensure communal areas are presented to the highest standard.
*Conduct regular inspections of communal areas, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
*Manage contractors, approve and assess maintenance work, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
*Coordinate planned maintenance, ensuring timely execution to required standards.
*Manage stock levels for day-to-day items and facilitate meter readings for communal utilities.
*Conduct system tests, including emergency lighting, fire alarms, and lift emergency lines.
*Arrange and follow up on reactive and planned maintenance.
*Carry out minor repairs such as replacing bulbs, adjusting doors, and other small tasks.
*Coordinate and follow up on emergency repairs.
*Deliver excellent customer service to residents and visitors alike.
Skills and Requirements:
*Exceptional time management and task prioritisation.
*Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
*Proven experience managing prestigious residential developments or similar environments such as hospitality or armed forces.
*Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing teams.
*Experience in mobilising a brand new site is preferred but not essential.
