Job Description:
Full job descriptionA large and well-regarded secondary school in West London is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
The school is looking for someone to start on a long-term contract until at least July 2027. This position is full time, although part-time applicants will be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will match inner London MPS/UPS.
Chemistry Teacher - West London
*Deliver engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons, covering key topics such as atomic structure, bonding, rates of reaction, and organic chemistry.
*Support students’ academic progress by developing their scientific enquiry, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
*Inspire curiosity about the subject, encouraging students to explore real-world applications of Chemistry.
*Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all learners are supported and challenged.
*Contribute to the wider Science department and whole-school community, promoting high standards of achievement and behaviour.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*A relevant degree in Chemistry or a related field
