Location: Chesterfield
About the RoleAn experienced Production Manager is required to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Chesterfield.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing production operations in a fast-paced factory environment, ensuring output, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved.
You will play a central role in driving performance, leading teams, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities*Manage daily production plans to meet customer demand and OTIF targets
*Oversee manufacturing processes including CNC machining, fabrication, painting, and assembly
*Ensure product quality standards are consistently met
*Lead production teams, including meetings and performance management
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles
*Liaise with sales, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams
*Monitor production performance, costs, and labour efficiency
*Oversee maintenance activity across production equipment
*Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
*Investigate and resolve production issues, delays, and defects
*Maintain production reports, KPIs, and performance data
Requirements*Proven experience in a Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor role
*Strong background in fast-paced manufacturing environments
*Good understanding of production processes and workflows
*Experience with CNC machinery (desirable)
*Strong leadership and people management skills
*Track record of improving OTIF, OEE, or efficiency metrics
*Lean Manufacturing experience (desirable)
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills
