Full job descriptionJob Title: QTS SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Oldham)
Location: Oldham
Pay Rate: GBP30 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week
We are seeking a QTS SEN Tutor to join our team in Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and those working below expected levels. If you’re a qualified teacher passionate about helping students with additional needs and empowering them to succeed, wed love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons to SEN students.
Adapt lesson content and teaching methods to meet the emotional and academic needs of students.
Support students in developing their subject knowledge, boosting study skills, and preparing for exams.
Establish a trusting and supportive relationship with students to create a safe, positive learning environment.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents, carers, or professionals when needed.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
Experience working with SEN students in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE in Secondary Education.
Experience with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
