Full job descriptionWhat You’ll Be Doing
*Leading risk management activity across the organisation, providing expert advice, guidance and challenge at all levels
*Reporting escalated risks to Executive Leadership and Non-Executive Directors (via ARAC)
*Maintaining and improving risk policies and processes, ensuring alignment to MOD standards
*Embedding a risk-aware culture through engagement, communication, training and mentoring of divisional risk focal points
*Driving governance development and compliance, attending and supporting key governance boards and committees
*Conducting assurance reviews and maintaining a compliance register
*Line managing a Risk Officer and holding budget responsibility
What We’re Looking For
*IRM Enterprise Risk Management qualification — strong advantage
*Knowledge of MOD risk policy and process (JSP892) — strong advantage
*Proven experience managing risk in a complex organisation
*Confidence engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders, including at board and executive level
*Strong report writing and communication skills
*Civil Service behaviours at SEO/Grade 7 equivalent (Level 3): Seeing the Big Picture, Making Effective Decisions, Communicating & Influencing
*Good working knowledge of MS Office suite including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel
