Location: Sellindge Kent
Rate: £13.03 per hour
Permanent | Full-time | 35 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service - May Lodge
May Lodge is a care home which provides care and support for up to 3 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder with additional physical disability needs. This service is located in bungalow accommodation and fully accessible for people in wheelchairs.
The service is set within a residential housing area, but is set back from a busy road and on site parking is available. It has good transport links to Ashford and Folkestone.
The Role
You will:
*To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
*To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
*To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning, hygiene (personal care is required) and social events.
*To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
*To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
Requirements
*Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
*Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
*Drivers desirable
*The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
*Excellent communication skills
