Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days, to be discussed at interview)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (44.67 paid weeks)
Location: Specialist education setting (South Gloucestershire)
About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with autism and associated social and communication needs.
This is a rewarding part-time opportunity where you will play a key role in supporting the emotional wellbeing, behavioural development, and independence of young people aged 7-19.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will assess psychological needs and deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions. You will also help embed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches across the setting, ensuring consistent and effective support for all students.
Key Responsibilities*Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualised support plans
*Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions
*Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies
*Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
*Provide guidance, consultation, and training to staff and families
*Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
*Supervise Assistant Psychologists where appropriate

*HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist
*Postgraduate qualification in Psychology
*Experience working with children and young people with autism and complex needs
*Background in educational, clinical, or care settings

*Commitment to evidence-based practice
Desirable:
*Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
*Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
