Description
*Originate, develop, and onboard business opportunities, with a focus on large-cap, investment-grade corporate clients.
*Act as a primary point of contact for clients and representing the bank across relationship development and transaction execution.
*Source and structure new business opportunities, including participation in syndicated loans and underwriting transactions, as well as negotiating commercial terms with counterparties.
*Deliver the bank’s full suite of global capabilities to clients by coordinating closely with product partners and international teams.
*Support the Team Head with client marketing activities, including preparing pitch materials, presentations, and attending client meetings as required.
*Prepare high-quality credit applications, including detailed customer credit assessments, business and financial risk analysis, and financial modelling.
*Conduct ongoing client monitoring and reporting, including quarterly and annual reviews, financial covenant assessments, waiver requests, and post-loan monitoring.
*Work closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to manage credit risk, complete KYC processes, prepare loan documentation, and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Profile
A successful Corporate Banking Relationship Manager should have:
*A minimum of five years’ experience within corporate banking or a related financial services environment.
*Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and corporate financial analysis.
*Solid knowledge of the UK large-cap corporate banking market.
*Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse corporate financing structures and loan documentation.
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external counterparties.
*Strong technical capability and high level of computer literacy.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
