We are currently seeking to appoint a Stores / Infection Control Operative to support the day-to-day demands of the Wakefield Equipment Service. This role is crucial in ensuring that equipment is cleaned, decontaminated, stored, and managed safely, adhering strictly to Health & Safety and Infection Control standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide an effective equipment cleaning and decontamination service in line with Infection Control and Health & Safety policies.
*Carry out general warehouse and stores duties as required.
*Maintain clean, tidy, and well-organised stock areas.
*Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of equipment.
*Barcode equipment accurately and update records.
*Assist with deliveries and collections from suppliers and contractors.
*Support the smooth running of the service by working flexibly to meet service demands.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Awareness of Health & Safety and Infection Control procedures.
*Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
*Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
*Organised, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
*Previous warehouse, stores, or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
