The role
This interim Accounts Assistant role sits within a finance team of approximately 20 and plays a key role in supporting day-to-day transactional finance activities. The position will focus predominantly on the purchase ledger, processing a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, and resolving queries with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.You will also be responsible for statement reconciliations, supporting weekly payment runs, and assisting with month-end close activities such as accruals files and ledger checks. There is a strong emphasis on accuracy, speed, and process adherence within tight timelines.
What you will need to succeed
*Proven experience within a high volume transactional finance environment
*Strong purchase ledger and supplier query resolution knowledge
*Ability to work on site full time in a city centre location
*Confidence managing deadlines and prioritising workload effectively
*Comfortable working with finance systems and Excel
*A proactive, resilient approach with the ability to hit the ground running
