A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the DH8 area of Durham is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in a nurturing school environment.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning experience. You will play a key role in supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
The Role*Provide in-class support to pupils across different year groups
*Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
*Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
*Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
*Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Requirements*Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*Experience working in a primary school setting
*Ideally have experience supporting SEN and working across multiple year groups
*A calm, patient, and caring approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
