Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time & part-time roles available | Temporary & long-term positions
About the RoleWe are recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across a range of primary schools in Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and supporting children to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities*Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
*Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
*Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies
*Assisting with personalised learning plans and interventions
*Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
*Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation where required
Requirements*Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)
*A patient, caring, and resilient approach
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check (or already on the update service)
*Relevant SEN or TA qualification is desirable but not essential
