We are seeking a Chef to join our team at a vibrant pub in Streatley, Reading. This role is ideal for candidates ranging from junior chefs with a minimum of 2 years experience to those who are highly experienced. Training and a comprehensive handover will be provided by the existing Head Chef, who may continue on reduced hours.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare meals strictly according to the Marston’s Menu, which consists of 85% pre-cooked meals.
*Ensure the kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
*Maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow the health and safety regulations.
*Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff and management to deliver excellent service.
*Manage kitchen stock and place orders as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Minimum of 2 years experience as a junior chef or extensive experience in a similar role.
*Ability to adhere strictly to set menus and recipes.
*Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
*Excellent time management and organisational skills.
*Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
