The Role
We are seeking an inspirational and experienced Deputy Head Teacher to join our leadership team from September 2026 on a fixed-term basis (two terms) to cover a maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated leader to play a key role in driving school improvement, supporting staff development, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning across the school.


Key Responsibilities
*Support the Head Teacher in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school
*Lead on key areas of school improvement, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
*Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and attainment, ensuring strong outcomes for all pupils
*Support, mentor, and develop teaching and support staff
*Promote and uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school
*Contribute to safeguarding, behaviour, and pastoral care across the school


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Proven experience at Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level
*A strong track record of improving teaching and learning
*Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
*A clear commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils
*The ability to inspire, motivate, and work collaboratively with staff, pupils, parents, and governors
*A commitment to supporting and developing the Catholic ethos of the school (practising Catholic preferred, in line with diocesan expectations)
