The Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools in the Wellingborough area and is looking to recruit adaptable and confident Cover Supervisors. This role offers a great pathway into teaching or a chance to build further experience within education settings.
You will step into classrooms to supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students stay on task and follow the work that has been set. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour effectively are key to success in this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Overseeing lessons using pre-prepared materials

*Keeping students focused, engaged, and on track

*Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations

*Providing basic guidance and support to pupils where needed

*Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment

*Experience working with young people in any setting

*Confident presence and strong interpersonal skills

*Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly

*A flexible and professional attitude

*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
