Full job descriptionSEN Teaching Assistant – SR4, Sunderland
A supportive and inclusive school in the SR4 area of Sunderland is looking to appoint a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This position suits someone with solid experience supporting children with a range of additional needs and a genuine commitment to helping pupils reach their full potential.
Key Information:
*Start Date: Following May half term (Monday 1st June)
*Location: SR4, Sunderland
*Daily Rate: £92–£110, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
*Deliver targeted support to students with diverse special educational needs
*Work collaboratively with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment
*Provide both in-class and one-to-one support where required
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with children with additional needs is essential
*A calm, flexible, and proactive attitude
*An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
The school may invite shortlisted candidates for an informal meeting or trial day ahead of the start date.
