A specialist education and care provider in Longridge, Preston is seeking dedicated and resilient Residential SEN Support Workers to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis through a leading education recruitment agency. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, including social, emotional, and mental health challenges, in a structured and therapeutic setting.
The RoleAs a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people develop independence, emotional regulation, and life skills. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, high-quality care and support both in and out of the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities*Supporting young people with daily routines and structured activities

*Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

*Building trusting relationships with students

*Assisting with educational engagement and life skills development

*Maintaining accurate records and reports

*Working collaboratively with staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment

Requirements*Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)

*A calm, patient, and resilient approach

*Strong communication and teamwork skills

*Ability to adapt to challenging situations

*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
