We are working on behalf of an SEN school based in Worcestershire who are looking for an SEN Cover Supervisor to carry out long-term cover.


Please find details below:
*The role would be to start as soon as possible and would be till the end of the academic year and possibly into September
*The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 3.30 pm and the role would be on a term-time only temporary time sheet basis with the teacher being paid to scale in line with their experience and qualifications
*You would be covering lessons for pupils aged from 11-16 years of age who have been excluded or are at the risk of being excluded from mainstream due to social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges
*Some pupils also have other special needs, such as ASC and ADHD
*You need to have an empathy and understanding for working with children with SEMH and have strong behaviour management
*The school consists of close-knit team who support each other, and they have strong leadership and are driven by giving their pupils the opportunity to thrive and turn their lives around
*The school is well resourced and has a good atmosphere in line with the strong team ethos of the staff and try to mirror a mainstream school as much as possible in their working practices
*Experience of Team Teach or similar de-escalation techniques is desirable but not essential
