*Manage VAT compliance processes, including preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
*Provide technical VAT advice to internal stakeholders on property transactions and other business activities.
*Ensure compliance with UK VAT legislation and monitor changes to regulations.
*Conduct VAT audits and identify opportunities for process improvements.
*Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate VAT reporting and risk management.
*Support in the preparation of VAT-related documentation for external audits and inspections.
*Act as the first point of contact for VAT-related queries across the organisation.
*Assist in training and developing team members on VAT matters.
Profile
A successful VAT Manager should have:
*A professional qualification in tax or accounting, such as CTA, ACA, or ACCA.
*Proven expertise in VAT compliance and advisory work, particularly within the property industry.
*Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation and its application to property transactions.
*Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to communicate complex VAT concepts clearly to non-specialist stakeholders.
