Job Description:
Full job descriptionReed Accountancy is proud to be partnering with a business in Leeds that is seeking a Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. This full-time, office-based role offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates and accountancy graduates looking to develop their careers.
You will work collaboratively within a supportive team, assisting with day-to-day transactional finance duties.
Duties:
*Process supplier and purchase invoices in a timely manner
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
*Match, batch and code invoices
*Prepare and process payment runs (BACS/cheques)
*Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts including journals and prepayments
*Maintain up-to-date and well organised records
*Assist with sales ledger duties
*Support VAT returns
You will need to demonstrate:
*High level of attention to detail and accuracy
*Strong numerical and analytical skills
*Some prior experience within an account’s role (desirable not essential)
*A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
