Full job descriptionReed Finance is working in partnership with a Glasgow based organisation to recruit a Finance Manager to join their finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and people focused accountant to step into a leadership role with broad exposure across the business.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of the accounting function, ensuring financial information is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. This is a hands-on management role where you’ll lead multiple teams, drive improvements in processes and controls and play a key part in supporting wider business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
*Ensure all reporting is delivered in line with UK accounting standards and internal deadlines
*Lead and develop a multi-level finance team, including Management Accountants and Finance staff
*Strengthen and maintain robust financial controls across the function
*Develop, refine and document accounting policies and procedures
*Support the budgeting and reforecasting cycles
*Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems and reporting capabilities
About You
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
*Strong technical grounding in UK GAAP
*Proven experience within a similar accounting role, including team leadership
*Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
