Full job descriptionReed Finance is currently partnering with a leading Glasgow based organisation to appoint a Head of FP&A into a newly created role. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead a critical finance function, working closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making and commercial performance.
If you’ve previously built or transformed an FP&A function, that’s highly advantageous but not essential. This role offers the chance to make a real impact from day one.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of FP&A will lead all aspects of financial planning, reporting and analysis across the organisation. You will provide insightful, data-driven recommendations to the senior leadership team, supporting strategy, performance optimisation and long-term growth. You will also manage and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, analytical excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the production of monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including variance analysis and executive-level presentations
*Deliver clear, actionable insights to support business decision-making
*Oversee budget reporting for senior stakeholders, including Board-level audiences
*Own and lead the annual budgeting and long-term planning cycles
*Develop and maintain a robust rolling forecast model
*Build and enhance financial models to support budgeting, pricing, investment decisions and business cases
*Act as a key finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business
*Support strategic initiatives, operational improvement projects and investment decisions
*Lead, mentor and develop a team of Finance Business Partners
About You
*Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, CA, ACCA)
*Significant experience in FP&A or a similar analytical finance role
*Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop and inspire teams
*Strong financial modelling and analytical skillset
