Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary school setting, supporting young people across the school day.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, offering the chance to secure a long-term role in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Supporting students during lessons and throughout the school day
*Providing 1:1 or small-group support, depending on pupil needs
*Assisting with engagement, behaviour, and emotional regulation
*Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
*Maintaining safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times
*Adapting to cover different classes or year groups when required
The Ideal Candidate
*Reliable, flexible, and confident working with secondary-age students
*Experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential
*Comfortable supporting students with additional needs
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Able to commit to full-time, term-time hours
Requirements
*Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult preferred; Child-only considered)
*GCSE Maths and English at Grade C / Level 4 or above (or equivalent)
*Access to your own transport is required
*Willing to complete an application and safeguarding questions prior to interview
