Working on behalf of a respected and long-standing business in Whitley Bay. They are looking to bring on a confident and detail-driven Credit Control Service Charge Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role will suit individuals who are comfortable managing service charge queries, confident engaging with leaseholders regarding outstanding balances, and able to maintain professionalism while ensuring timely collection of payments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and bring a proactive approach to resolving account discrepancies.
Core Responsibilities:
Managing service charge accounts
*Setting up and maintaining accounts for each property or development
*Tracking income (payments from leaseholders/tenants)
*Monitoring expenditure (cleaning, repairs, utilities, insurance, etc.)
Raising invoices & collecting payments
*Issuing service charge demands (often quarterly or annually)
*Processing payments and chasing arrears
*Setting up payment plans if needed
Financial reporting
*Preparing statements for leaseholders
*Supporting audits or external accountants
Liaising with stakeholders
*Working with:
*Property managers
*Leaseholders or residents
*Answering queries like:
*"Why has my service charge increased?"
*"What am I paying for?"
Compliance & documentation
*Ensuring charges comply with lease agreements and regulations
*Keeping accurate financial records
*Supporting legal processes if disputes arise
Working Hours:
*Monday to Friday – 9-5
