PPT / FLT Driver - Food Production (Headcorn)Temp to Perm | Immediate Start | £13.40-£13.90 per hour
We’re recruiting a PPT-focused FLT Operative to join a growing food production site in Headcorn. This role is PPT-led (around 60% of daily duties), making it ideal for someone confident and experienced with powered pallet trucks. Counterbalance experience is a bonus but not essential.
Shift PatternRotating weekly:
Week 1:Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
Week 2: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm
Pay Rate£13.40-£13.90 per hour
Key Responsibilities*Operate PPT equipment confidently and safely across the site (core part of the role).
*Use FLT/counterbalance when required (training can be provided if needed).
*Complete pre-start checks and report any issues to the Shift Manager.
*Support raw material checks and help resolve non-conforming stock issues.
*Monitor stock rotation and flag short-life or out-of-date items.
*Load fruit pallets into the tipper in line with blending requirements.
*Work closely with Extraction and Fruit Sorting teams to meet production targets.
*Assist with site improvement projects and new product development tasks.
*Maintain high Health & Safety standards across all operational areas.
*Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
What We’re Looking For*Strong PPT experience - essential.
*Counterbalance or FLT experience advantageous but not required.
*Previous warehouse or factory experience beneficial.
*Understanding of food or drink manufacturing is an advantage.
*Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player.
ImportantDue to the rural location, own transport is essential.
