Zest Optical Recruitment are working with a highly regarded independent Opticians in Market Harborough to recruit an experienced Optical Assistant to join their friendly, professional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected independent practice with a loyal patient base and a genuine focus on quality eye care and personalised dispensing. The practice offers a calm, unrushed environment where patient experience always comes first.
The role would suit an Optical Assistant with at least 3 years recent optical experience who enjoys dispensing, building relationships with patients, and working as part of a close knit team.
Optical Assistant Role
*Fully independent Opticians with a strong focus on personalised care
*Supporting patients throughout the full dispensing journey
*Helping patients choose frames and lenses suited to their needs
*Adjustments, fittings, repairs, and collections
*Providing knowledgeable advice on eyewear and lens options
*Supporting the day to day running of the practice
*Single testing room practice with a calm, unrushed feel
*Loyal, experienced team who genuinely support each other
*Practice open Monday to Friday only
*Working hours 9am to 5.30pm
*Flexible working pattern available
*Open to 3, 4 or 5 days per week
Salary and Package
*£25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
*No weekends
*Stable, supportive working environment

Optical Assistant Requirements
*Minimum 3 years recent optical experience
*Confident supporting dispensing and patient care
*Passion for eyewear and customer service
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Friendly and professional manner
