Full job descriptionPrimary HLTA – Afternoon Cover RoleLocation: Swaffham, Norfolk
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Reed Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swaffham to recruit a Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a part-time, afternoon role.
This position is ideal for an experienced HLTA or a confident teaching assistant with strong primary experience who is comfortable covering lessons and supporting learning across the school.
The role will include:*Covering classes during afternoon sessions
*Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
*Supporting pupils’ learning across a range of primary year groups
*Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
*Creating a positive, calm and engaging learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:*Recent experience working in a primary school setting
*HLTA status or equivalent experience and confidence leading lessons
*Good classroom and behaviour management skills
*A flexible, proactive and professional approach
*A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
